NOTICE OF HEARING:

March 27, 2009, following adjournment of Senate floor session,
Room 2144 of the Legislative Building, 401 S. Carson St., Carson City, NV.

Senate Bill 256 will be heard on Friday, March 27, 2009 following the adjournment of the senate floor session on Friday, March 27, 2009. The
purpose is to take action on the bill that would name the cemetery at the Mental Asylum as an historic cemetery, offering that cemetery some protection against
the current desecration you see in the pictures on this website.

You can get information about the bill at: http://www.leg.state.nv.us/75th2009/agendas/Senate/GA/final/643.pdf

This bill is very important and will determine the very survival of the Old Historic Nevada Insane Asylum Cemetery.

The following are state senators who are members of the Government Affairs Committee which will be hearing the bill. It is important that anyone interested in the preservation of the final resting place of people interred in this cemetery be heard. This is part of Nevada's history, and as you can see by the pictures on this website, the State of Nevada hasn't preserved our history very well. Hopefully, S.B. 256 will make a change in the right direction, and we need YOU to encourage our state senators to approve this bill. Please contact the following and let them know your feelings about the preservation of this cemetery and ask that they
approve the bill
