"The rhyolite
cemetery was hard to find. To find it there is just a
sign that says "cemetery" and points left to a
dirt road, and you can't even see it until you're right in front of it (due to the lack of grave marks[ers]). All of the unmarked graves are just huge rows of small dirt mounds. There was only a few graves with markers, and a few of those markers were made of wood, so i'm not even sure if there were ever words there. ......the cemetery has a very old fashioned wooden gate attached to the surrounding fence and as you enter there is a large marker that says something about the history of Bullfrog-Rhyolite, and there are (I think) 4 or 5 rows of unmarked graves, and there [are] a few unmarked graves (that are just basically randomly scattered throughout the cemetery) that are surrounded by their own little fence (about 5ft x 5ft). There are a few marked graves around the outside edges of the cemetery. I also counted 234 unmarked graves (just dirt mounds." ...........Ben Gibson |
