A Little Checking:

  • From the IGI (not always reliable): Clarence James Morris, born 17 Jan 1897, ND; married Oliva Pentz 1922; died 1958; Parents: John or Elmer Morris, Anna Hingten

  • From the Funeral Home Listings, NDGenWeb: John Elmer Morris died at age 80 in 1946; Clarence J Morris died in 1968; Florence J Morris, b. 1895, died 1987

  • From the 1920 ND Census: Florence and Elmer are living with their father, Elmer Morris. After these two siblings, there is a change in the birthplace of the mother
for the rest of the children, indicating Anna had died and John Elmer had re-married. Wife's name listed as Mary. Next oldest child, born circa 1901. Anna died
    between 1897 and 1901.

  • From the 1917 R. L. Polk Directory, I found Theo Hingten, photographer; Elmer Morris, dealer in fuel

    Inquiries:Joy Fisher
