DOBBS COUNTY

Established in 1758 (effective 1759) from Johnston County.
Divided into Wayne (1779), Glasgow and Lenoir counties (1791).
Dobbs County records were destroyed in the 1878 and 1880 courthouse fires.
Greene County records were destroyed in courthouse fire in 1876.
