Bizzell & Virginia Bizzell 14 Aug 1805 - Deed from Job Hudson to Thomas Hudson for 362 acres was proved by Naman Cartie. 12 Nov 1805 - Ordered Thomas Hall be overseer of the road from Bearskin to Owen Owens path and the following hands work: Thomas Hudson, others. 12 Feb 1806 - Deed from Thomas Hudson to Needham Sikes for 265 acres was proved by Thomas Vann. 9 Feb 1807 - Ordered that Jonathan Cooper be overseer of the road in the room of Jeremiah Simmons and that Thomas Hudson & others work under him. 15 Feb 1809 - River workers: Ordered Ezekiel Nealms be overseer of the river in the room of John Peterson and that Thomas Hudson & others work under him. ========== Sampson County, NC Court Minutes, 1810-1820 by Oscar M. Bizzell & Virginia Bizzell 19 Feb 1811 - Smith will: John I. Morris produced in court the last will and testament of Benett Smith which was admitted to probate by the oaths of witnesses Thomas Hudson and John I. Morris. 21 May 1811 - Jurors: Thomas Hudson, others, be jurors to attend August Court. 22 May 1811 - Deeds: Jonathan Marley to Thomas Hudson for 90 acres proved by James Williamson. 15 Nov 1813 - Hudson estate: Administration on the estate of Thomas Hudson dec'd granted to John Herring and John Wright Sr. Bond was 100 pounds. Security was James Holmes. Ordered that Wm. Robinson, Laban Tatum, Drewry Smith and Richard Sessions be a committee to lay off and set apart one year's provisions for Mrs. Hudson, widow of said Thomas Hudson. Ordered that the administrators to Thomas Hudson dec'd have leave to sell the perishable property of the estate. 4 Dec 1813 - Agreeable to an order of the county court of Sampson the undersigned have proceeded to lay off to Dorcas Hudson widow of Thomas Hudson dec'd seven head of logs, 15 bushels of corn, one cow and two year heifer, a small quantity of peas and foder for the support of said widow and family for one year. Drewry Smith, Richard Sessions, Laban Tatom 21 Feb 1814 - Hudson estate: John Wright St. returned into court an inventory and account of sales of the estate of Thomas Hudson dec'd along with a report of one year's provision layed off and set apart for Dorcas Hudson, widow of Thomas Hudson. 22 Nov 1815 - Hudson estate: Ordered that Cornelius DeVane, Willie Dodd and Uriah Sessions be a committee to adjust the claims and accounts of the estate of Thomas Hudson dec'd with John Wright, administrator. 20 Feb 1816 - Hudson estate: Cornelius DeVane one of the committee appointed to settle and adjust the accounts and claims of the estate of Thomas Hudson dec'd, returned their report.
