 A safe and able divine; a Staunch and constant friend of Civil and religious
        liberty;
 and an uncompromising opponent
 To innovation in doctrine or Discipline.
 A pastor of the Evangelical lutheran church 42 year.
 Farewell dear friends, though cold
        in deathI'll speak to you but not with breath
 My troubles and trials are now all past
 And here in my grave, I rest at last.
 Remember well the vows you made, When on your heads my hands were laid
 And in all your trials to Jesus look
 Who is all in all as saith His Book.
 Wife and children my innocent
        doves, Our Father in Heaven his children loves,
 And when they ask Him for his grace
 He never turns away His face;
 Wife children friends foes and all,
        You unto Christ I cannot call,
 But when I quit this resting place,
 I'd like in Heaven to greet your face,
 I have fought a good fight; I have Finished my course;
 I have kept the faith. 2 Tim. 4,7.
