Location: From the stoplight at Hwy 589 in Purvis, travel north on Hwy 11 for
about 4.9 miles, and turn left onto Oklahola Rd.  Go 1.1 miles, and just
prior to reaching Bethlehem Baptist Church, turn left on a small gravel
road and go 0.2 mile to cemetery.

Very well maintained and surrounded by a chainlink fence about 170 by
320 feet.  A sign at the entrance reads “Boone Cemetery.”

Note:  this stone is completely unreadable now.  I took this photo in
the 1970s and you could still make out name and date. (ks)
Calvin Griffin Slade 30 Nov 1854 - 14 Oct 1924 son of Hezekiah Slade and Helena Taylor, husband of Harriet Matilda Fillingame
