Location: Gunnison near Rosedale: To get to the cemetery you stay on Rt 1 North past Gunnison MS, approximately 1-2 miles past the city limits of Gunnison and then turn left on a gravel road. There is a historical marker at the turn. There are cotton fields on either side of the gravel road.
Cathleen Coats Barker's photograph was takein in 1999. At that time the cemetery was in very poor shape even though there was some attempt to maintain it. Many markers are gone, broken, and illegible. It is apparent that some attempt has been made to repair several markers. It is alleged that in 2001a number of the headstone were destroyed by carelessness on the part of someone with a bulldozer.
