I have a dob for my great uncle, Earl Hopper. He was born 4
Feb 1906 somewhere in MO. His parents were William & Martha (Mattie)
Kincaid Hopper. Missouri Dept of Health does not have birth records
before 1910. Family seemed to move alot IN, AR, MO so I can't locate them
on any census. What do I do now?

Looking for any info on a Dr. Lee (medical doctor) who died
in southern MO (county unknown) late in 1899 or early 1900. Supposedly
his father was Milton or Milburn Lee, a Presbyterian minister. Dr.
Lee may have had a sister named Maude, who had red hair. Dr. Lee
died in some type of accident. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?

I am searching for the family of my grandmother. Her name is Bessie
Courtwright (maiden name). She had one brother, Floyd born Feb.14,1912,
and two sisters Estelle and Myrtle. I do not know their birth dates. Bessie
was born around 1904 and does not have a birth certificate. I would like
to be able to trace my great grandparents. I do not know their names, I
was told that my great grandfather was American Indian but I do not Know
what tribe. I believe that they lived in central or southern Mo.

1900 Kansas census lists John and Eliza ? Davenport with son
Ray H. John says he was born in Iowa ca 1849. Eliza says b. 1858, Mo with
parents b. Il. and In. Probably married in Mo. ca 1884. Who is Eliza and
what county did she come from? Anyone that might have transcribed marriage

William Tom Pebley was born in Missouri, but not where. Willam Tom
Pebley born May 03, 1852, son of Jerry or Jeremiah Pebley;
Married, Mollie Leora Pebly born Oct. 19, 1859 date of marriage
was Jan. 20, 1878 in Pilot Point, TX. daughter of Henderson Pebly
and Martha ? Children Of William and Mollie: Mollie Leora b. Nov. 03, 1878;
Malcolm Clifford b. June 27, 1880; Etta Maude b. Oct. 14, 1882; Monta Mason
b. Aug. 5, 1884; Mamie Grace b. Dec. 12, 1889; Merlie Moreen b. Mar. 01,
1892; Mollie Leora took the name of "Mary F." after the birth of her Daughter,
"Mollie Leora" William and Mollie aka Mary F. were cousins, thus the similarity
in surnames. William's family spelled it, Pebley and Mollie's, Pebly.
Information prior to William Tom would be greatly appreaciated. We do not
know his fathers or mothers history. Prior to Mollie we have the history
back to her greatgrandfather, Jeremiah Pebley married Hannah Roberts,
her grandfather, Thomas Franklin Pebley Sr. Married Anna Cameron
and her father, Henderson Pebley married Martha Ann ?. Pebley has
been changed in spelling many times.

The only info I have is that he was born in Missouri in approximately 1874.
He married Edith Charlotte Marks of Nebraska. They had 6 living
children, the youngest of which were twins (Manuel and Merrit) born in
1914. I believe he died in approximately 1916 in Nebraska. Any help would
be appreciated.

I am trying to find out any information about Benjamin Copeland
and his wife MaryCatherine Wilson and their descendants and ancestors.
I know that he was born January 3, 1854 in Missouri. I know that his parents
were both born in Tennessee but I do not know their names. She was born
March 14, 1860 in Illinois. Her father was born in Indiana and her mother
was born in Kentucky but I do not know their names. I do know that she
had a brother named John Wilson who was born in Indiana. Benjamin
married Mary around 1874. They were probably married in Missouri. They
had the following children: Rosa b. 1880, William Homer b.1880, Lula Magnolia
b. 1883, Joseph b. 1884,LaEtta b. 1888, Henry Frank b. 1889, Minnie b.
1898, Elva b. Abt 1901. The family lived in Missouri and later moved to
Oklahoma around 1888. They may have later moved back to Missouri because
I have a picture of the family taken at a studio in Rolla, Missouri around
1915. Their names appear in the 1880 Missouri Census and in the 1900 Logan
County, Oklahoma Census. The only one of the children that I have any information
on is Lula. If anyone has any information about this family I would love
to hear from you.

I am looking for Alexander Brown born in Missouri. Married Augusta
Jones. This is during the period of 1800- 1860's My fellow researcher
and I think there may be Native American bloodlines in the family. My father
thinks that it is definitely so. Have very little to go on. This family
may have moved to Florida at an early time. Alexander and Augusta are listed
on the 1870 census as "works on farm" in FL. He was born in MO. They had
Jackson, Albert,Susan, Missy, Harriet. He was probably born in 1838. Augusta
Jones was born in 1840. Does anyone have any info about this family tree?
I wish I knew the County in Mo but I don't. At the time of the 1870 census
in FL he was 32 yrs old and Augusta was 30. The children range in ages
from 10-2. If anyone has lists of marriages in MO, wills, deeds, etc. for
both families please point me in the right direction.

I am looking for information on the ancestors of my great- grandmother,
Sarah Melissa Hendrix, born 2-15-1883 in MO. She married Arthur
Perry Holt born 3-24-1873 in GA. They had most of their 14 children
in OK and a few younger ones in TX. Sarah died 5-17-68 and is buried in
TX. Sarah's mother was Mary Vaughn Hendrix. Mary's mother's maiden
name was Scott. I have no information on Sarah's father or grandfather.

I am looking for my gggreat grandfather Hiram Roberson married to
Elizabeth Coyle in MO 1826. They had a son named James Roberson
born in MO 1828; other children were Lavina 1833; Henry 1836; Tabitha 1838;
Joel R 1835. James married Minnie Jane Hodges in 1847; I think by
this time they were in TX.

In St Joseph. William is born somewhere in KY and Minerva is born somewhere
in TN. They are not listed on the Buchanan Co 1850 census but lived somewhere
in MO as there first 2 sons, John b abt 1851 and George b abt 1853 are
listed on the 1860 Coffee County, Kansas census as born in MO. I would
like to find out where they lived in MO and where William is from in KY.
Also where Minerva is from in TN.

but I don't know where or how long. I know he had a brother Thomas Hampton,
his wife was named Mary and he had a son Walter Lee Hampton who

Charles Towers- born circa 1845 to Jesse and Mary Murphy
Towers in Milltown/St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. Last record
of Charles was the Canadian 1881 census, which enumerated Charles at age
36, living with his widowed mother in St. Stephen. Sometime between 1881
and 1900, Charles relocated. Rumor was he moved to Michigan, but no record
of him can be found there. There is reason to believe he may have removed
to Missouri.

Wife Melissa was also listed in this census. They are also listed in the

Would like to correspond with anyone researching the Chesser
family of Missouri. My ancestor is Frank Chesser who married Surelda
Barrier (b. 1848 NC, d. 1909 TN). Frank and Surelda Barrier Chesser's
children were: Henry F., Nancy L. and Anthony C. Chesser. Henry
was born in 1875 in Missouri - so the family had to be in Missouri in 1875.
Sometime later they moved to Carter County, Tennessee. They were in Tennessee
in the 1900 census.The other children may have also been born in Missouri.
Their county of residence in Missouri is not known.

Looking for information concerning the family of William Howard.
William was born in 1802 in KY. (Parents unknown). He married Handlujuah
(various spellings), who was born about 1805 in Missouri. They had 9 children.
Jane and John (twins) were born int 1828 in MO. Mary was born in 1831 in
Arkansas. Sarah Elizabeth (sometimes known as Elizabeth) was born in 1833
in Arkansas. Fenciss b. 1834 MO, Nancy, b. 1836 MO, William b. 1841 MO.
Berry b. 1842 MO, and Suzannah b. 1846 MO. The family appeared in Marion
County, AR in the 1850 census. Mary married Josiah Isaiah Wilkinson.
Sarah Elizabeth married Henry Nipp. After Mary's death in 1862,
Josiah Isaiah Wilkinson married her sister, Sarah Elizabeth, whose
husband had died also. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

They resided in Missouri in 1925. Frieda was born Frieda Hart on
November 6 1901.Frieda married Edward John Becker in 1925. Friedas
parents were John Hart and Susan Martin Hart. Rumor is Susan
Martin or her Mother (unknown) was Indian of the Oglalla Sioux Tribe.
