(middle G. is for Gallatin), born in Wendell, N.H., Dec. 29, 1809. Died in Burton, Mich., May 27, 1890. Second husband of Sarah Ayers Ingraham, first cousin to Sarah's first husband. Son of John & Lydia (Brocklebank) Gage, grandson of Joshua and Jan (Anderson) Gage. Joshua fought in the Rev. War.

born October 8, 1805 in Sullivan Co., N.H., died February 28, 1856 after being struck by a tree while constructing a road from Flint to Lansing. Was among legislators who organized the state government of Michigan. Known as "Big Bill."
