Volunteering |
Volunteers as File Managers are needed with knowledge of HTMLcode . (learn HTML code)
Volunteers are needed to locate and transcribe marriage records.
We do not furnish the material for the transcriptions.
The purpose of this project is to link to all the,
"ftp files of
Transcribed Records,"
in the USGenWeb Archives from a central site
and encourage transcription of these records
The records will be uploaded into the USGenWeb Archives for the
State and
County in which the records were recorded.
Once they are uploaded into the USGenWeb Archives, we will then
place a
link to the archive records from this project.
Some records contain different material than others.
Such as
Marriage Applications will contain the Groom, Bride
and a small amount of
other information.
Each state might have a different way of recording their
information. Therefore, I am not attempting to establish
a template for
these records.
The file will need to be in a "TEXT" format.[

Or, the file can have the data typed in a

If you "PREPARE" the data for
uploading into the archives
please follow the Archive Guide lines
.
If you can not convert your data
(if transcribed into a data base
or excel file) into text format,
I will attempt to help you.
