Yuma County Colorado 1922The attached files are 300 dpi scans of pages from the Standard Atlas of Yuma County Colorado published by George A. Ogle & Company, Chicago, 1922. The 20 x 18 inch title page was scanned in four sections and pieced back together. As is evident from Title.jpg there was a bit of light leak around the edges of the scan. The town and village plats were drawn together on four atlas pages and were scanned individually. The Eckley, Wray and Yuma maps were to large for my scanner and were scanned in sections and pieced back together. The 70 township ownership map plates were originally drawn six or seven townships to an atlas double-page. The individual townships were almost letter size and were scanned individually and not pieced back to full page size. I scanned the ownership maps over a period of two years from two different atlases with two different scanners. You will notice that while the majority are color scans, some are grayscale and a few are black and white. The Standard Atlas land ownership information dates from mid to late 1920 NOT 1922. I am in the process of putting together an index of names mentioned on each of the township maps. The atlas did not have a legend page. I have one I put together on the Yuma County, Colorado, COGenWeb pages. The 1922 Colorado map from the Standard Atlas was scanned two years ago and the individual county maps uploaded to the Digital Map library. This copy of the 1922 Standard Atlas was owned by my great grandfather, W.B. Coston. He added comments that I removed to several of the maps. You will note some stray lines on the maps that I did not remove. Other sections of the Atlas were a Patrons and Business Reference Directory, Business Advertisements and donated "Illustrations." All have been scanned or transcribed and uploaded to the Yuma County COGenWeb pages.
