Each site has a tin roof covering the immediate
burial site, normally one grave to a site.
The roof has wooden eaves at the front
and back, as well as an inside wooden ceiling.
The sites are enclosed in small wooden
picket fences, with each slat hand made with
intricate designs.
From the gate at Pine Grove, the view is
somewhat startling at first. There are all these
little houses sitting neatly side by side,
as if the cemetery is really a small village. The
burials in the little houses were for
the Pierson and Talbert families. [Photo taken in 1994]
