Union Parish Louisiana

Harry F. Dill and William Simpson abstracted information on Union Parish slaves from the early records of the parish for their work, "Some Slaveholders and Their Slaves: Union Parish Louisiana, 1839–1865" (Heritage Books, Inc., Bowie, Maryland, 1997). It is an invaluable resource in the study of Union Parish slaves and slaveowners.
