In 1975 Kathy Risinger Thomas, a granddaughter of the Smiths, made this painting of the WKS house. She used descriptions from her mother, Mary Irene Smith Risinger, and Irene's older brother, Elder John Lee Smith to make the painting. Both Irene and John Lee were children of Elder Wooky K. and Mary R. Smith. The house was originally built near Blanchard Springs, in southern Union County Arkansas. Smith took it apart piece by piece, moved it to the Smith place near Spearsville, and reconstructed in 1900. The house burned in 1934 and was replaced closer to the road.
