William Lafayette Rockett (7 May 1872 – 17 May 1853) was the son of Joseph Cannon Rockett and Rebecca A. Upshaw. After the death of his first wife in 1908, he remarried on 5 December 1909 to Sarah Elizabeth Ogden (20 Sept 1879 – 12 July 1951). Bettie was the daughter of William Robert Ogden (7 July 1852 – 29 Dec 1942) and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Breazeal (7 June 1854 – 18 Sept 1929). This photograph of Willie and Bettie was probably taken around the time of their marriage.
