Joseph Benjamin Rockett (28 Jan 1883 – 28 Sept 1972) was the son of Thomas Martin Rockett (15 July 1849 – 19 Nov 1893) and
Julia Conner West (Nov 1851 – 1933) of Spearsville, Union Parish Louisiana. On 20 January 1906, Joe B. Rockett married
Vista Christian (12 Nov 1884 – 30 Oct 1930), daughter of Charles Willis Christian (14 Apr 1854 – 7 Jan 1944) and
Sarah C. Wise (12 Nov 1858 – 11 Nov 1897).
This is a photograph of Joe and Vista Rockett, four of their five children, and Joe's widowed mother, Julia C. West Rockett.
The baby in Joe Rockett's lap is his son Carlton A. Rockett, born 4 July 1913. Judging from the baby's appearance, this photograph was
taken very late in the year 1913 or early 1914.
