Homie Rockett (25 July 1890 – 18 Sept 1986) was born near Spearsville, the daughter of Joseph Cannon Rockett and Mary Elizabeth Howell (23 Feb 1857 – 13 Mar 1945). She married John Newton Futch on 5 April 1910, but they later divorced. She remarried on 10 or 11 October 1917 to Joseph Brooks Beaird (6 Mar 1888 – 18 Jan 1965). In her later years, Aunt Homie lived a few miles north of Farmerville with her son, Edwin Lloyd "Buster" Futch (15 Feb 1911 – 20 Dec 1974). She and her family were buried in the Farmerville Cemetery.
