Joseph Daniel Regan (25 Feb 1866 – 5 July 1888) was the son of William Daniel Regan (Apr 1825 – 1904) and Nancy Cessum Beaird (c1827/1830 – 27 Apr 1894), who lived in the Cherry Ridge community of north/central Union Parish. Joseph married on 27 January 1887 to Genetta C. Hudson (23 Feb 1867 – 22 Oct 1952), the daughter of William D. Hudson (c1829 – 11 Mar 1877) and Mary M. Tignor (30 Oct 1839 – 14 June 1916). Joseph and Genetta had one child, Ozella C. Reagan (18 Dec 1887 – 1941) who married Joseph Elton Rockett (28 Jan 1887 – 21 July 1971). Joseph D. Regan died prematurely in 1888 and was buried in the Zion Hill Cemetery.
