Comments: Charity Boatright Price was the daughter of Powhatan Boatright. She was born while
Powhatan still lived in northern Arkansas, but within a few years of her birth, he had settled
in what soon became Claiborne Parish Louisiana. Boatright moved his family to what was then
northwestern Ouachita Parish in the mid-1830s. He settled in the Zion Hill Community northwest of
Farmerville. Charity married Peter O. Price and they settled on a farm adjoining her fathers.
Following Peter's death in 1859, Charity continued to maintain her household next to her father's.
