William Robert Ogden and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Breazeal married in Union County Arkansas in 1875, and they settled in Spearsville in 1898. By the 1910s, they alternated living with their married children. Much of their time was spent in the Camp Creek Community with the family of their daughter Bettie, who married William Lafayette Rockett in 1909. This photograph of Bill, Eliza, and Bettie was taken about 1927, just a few years before Eliza's death. Bettie wrote her mother's obituary, which appeared in the Farmerville Gazette. Bill Ogden lived thirteen years after his wife's death, and his obituary appeared in the same paper.
