photograph made in Union Parish about 1912-15.  The picture is stamped on the back,
"J.B. Adcock, Photographer, Spearsville, La." and was made on the wedding day of my
great-aunt, Gertie Nolan Freeman, at the Nolan home near Nip and Tuck. Also pictured are
her Nolan siblings, a man (described to me as "not blood-kin") who I assume is the groom,
and two horses.

(left to right) are: unidentified man, Arnett Nolan, Rose Nolan Tatum, Gertie Nolan Freeman,
David Burch Nolan, Sanders (Sandy) W. Nolan, and Alex Nolan. Seated in front are
Stevy (Bud) Nolan, Delores and Erma Tatum, Rose's daughters.

David Burch Nolan was my grandfather (my mother's father). My mother was Hettie Jane
Nolan, who was born in Union Parish and attended Antioch School until the family
moved to Richland Parish in 1923.
