John Thomas Hudson & wife Susannah Jane Goyne

John Thomas Hudson (9 Dec 1850 – 6 Oct 1924) was the son of Joseph C. Hudson and Susan Acree. He was born in Union Parish and orphaned while still a young child. He was raised by his Acree relatives, in particular, by his aunt Lucinda C. Acree Crow, who lived near Marion. On 13 February 1873, he married Susannah Jane Goyne (17 Feb 1885 – 3 Feb 1925), the daughter of Henry B. T. Goyne and Mary Ann Murray. Henry and Mary Ann married in Houston County Georgia in 1845 and moved to Union Parish Louisiana in 1848. John and Susan Hudson lived east of Farmerville for their entire lives. Both belonged to the Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, and John served as the Church Clerk for many years.
