Both were born near Spearsville, Robert the son of Henry Callaway Barron (4 Dec 1831 – 21 Jan 1911) and Sophronia Ellen Moses (1845 – 20 Sept 1920), and Ela the daughter of Joseph Cannon Rockett (14 Nov 1847 – 11 Apr 1929) and Rebecca A. Upshaw (7 Apr 1851 – 10 Apr 1882). They married in 1902 and lived near Spearsville. Both buried in the Camp Creek Cemetery.
