WOOD, JON "MARK", SR

Jon "Mark" Wood Sr. was born Monday, Feb. 6, 1961, to Charlene Wood Thomas and 
the late Rev. William Wood. 

He departed this mortal life Jan. 20, 2011. 

He leaves a loving wife of 28 years, Cindy Dubuisson Wood and two sons, Donnie 
Wood and Jon Mark Wood, Jr. He was the proud loving grandfather to Alexis, 
Brendan, Jon Mark III and William. He was a great brother to Linda Wood, the 
late Bobby Wood, Sr. and Joy Wood Stricklin (Jon). His mother-in-law, Vivian 
Dubuisson and the late Sylvan Dubuisson accepted him as their own son. 

He was a great friend to April Dubuisson and Rebekah Dubuisson DarDar his 
sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Floyd and LJ Dubuisson. His aunts and 
uncles are Alma Singleton (David), the late Asalene Andrews (Richard), the late 
Ada Taylor (DL), the late Edith Swenson (Howard), Carol Stephany (Joe) the late 
Adele Howard (Joe), Candy Sitzman (LG), Donna Scholes (James), LuLu O'Daniel 
(Ricky), the late Zada Bracato (Barry), John "Son"(Dee) and Phillip Glover 
(Debbie). His cousins, who were his best friends, Douglas Swenson, Gayle Hines 
(Marcus), Kathy Swenson (George Norton), Rivers Singleton (Margie), Susie 
Taylor, Betty Ann Bennett (Larry), the last Eric Andrews (Linda) and the late 
Jedward O'Daniel. His nieces and nephews are Bobby Wood Jr., Nikki Walker, 
Jeremy, Drew, Eric and Lance Stricklin, Faith Ryan Rowley, Bobby Ryan, Joey 
Rozselle, Regina Rozselle, Deidra Rushing, Darrell, Dubuisson, Michelle Stogner 
and Cherise Coto. His great nieces and nephews are Tyler, Bo, Ethan, Alyssa, 
Michael, Chasity, Jace, Kaelyn, Sarah, Juliann, Lasun Paul, Seth, Rachel, Megan, 
Allison, Natalie, Ben, Joshua, Kara, Camilla, Julianna, and Jayden. 

He leaves behind many great friends. He was a friend to many and stranger to 
few. He loved all his family and friends very much and they love him. 

He will be greatly missed. He fought a great fight.

Funeral services were held Monday from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home 
67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River. Interment was in Austin Cemetery, Pearl River
