She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Katie Sonnier of New Roads, and is survived by her three sisters, "Baby Kay" Romero of Paradise Valley, Ariz., "Tootie Ray" Casey of New Orleans, and Cleta Jewell of Mobile, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wardy John "Blackie" Theriot. She is survived by her six children, seven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren, with one soon to arrive. Mother of Paul and wife Terry, granddaughter Chere'Theriot, great-granddaughter Lily, granddaughter Monique Theriot Voitier and husband Martial, great- granddaughters Virginia and Marilyn; Ceanne Theriot Hirstius and husband Edward Geary, granddaughter Tracey Hirstius Barhorst, husband Brad, and great- granddaughters Cora and Ella and great-grandson Charlie; grandson Jason Hirstius and wife Colette, great-grandsons Otto and Hays; granddaughter Colleen Hirstius Waldorf and husband Jonathan, great-grandson Mathis; Perry and wife Cindy, grandsons Maurice and Matthew; Shawn and Robyn Bosch; Adrianne Theriot Monaghan and husband Clifford; Katie-Raye Theriot Shotts and husband Don. "Temae" was an extraordinary mother and grandmother. She served as the Folsom librarian for 10 years. She was an active member of the Folsom Native Plant Society, Folsom Homemakers, and Grandmother's Circle group. "Temae" was an avid reader, loved music, gardening, going to the movies, traveling and the experience of new restaurants. She loved all things Native American. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sat. Jan. 29, 2011, at St Benedicts Catholic Church at 20370 Smith Road Covington. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations are made to the Julien Poydras High School Museum and Arts Center c/o Pointe Coupee Historical Society, P.O.
