A native New Orleanian, she lived for many years in Jefferson, LA and at Rouquette Lodge in Mandeville, LA. At the time of her death, she lived in Abita Springs, LA. Her greatest joy was her family with whom she shared her unconditional love and her fervent, certain faith in God. She was kind, generous, soft spoken yet courageous. Although life handed her many difficulties, she was able to transcend them because of her strong faith. Always gracious, in her last months she never failed to express her gratitude for even the least kindness shown to her. A debt of gratitude is owed to Sarah Ward Lowther, Laura Ward, LaTrice Wise and to the staff of Hospice of St. Tammany who so tenderly helped to care for Marie in her last days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation in the Chapel of Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road in Covington, LA. 70435 on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm.
