Katherine "Kat" Melvin, of Lacombe, passed away Wednesday Dec. 29, 2010.

She was a mother to many more than her own children. She was a true blessing to 
us for 70 years that held many hearts, calmed many fears and created the finest 
magical memories that we will treasure forever. She had a love for cooking, 
traveling, and most importantly, her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Melvin; four children, Wendy Ciruti 
(Jerome), Ricky Berrigan (Lori), Jody Lamkin (Bruce) and Bonny St. Andre 
(Everett); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren (the rug rats) and 
many nieces, nephews and friends.

We will miss her immensely but she will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home from 12 - 3 p.m. Saturday 
Jan. 15.
