She was born May 21, 1920 in Ycloskey, LA to the late William and Albertine Breaux Achee and was a long-time resident of Abita Springs. The beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Leveson, she is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Chauhan (OmPal) and Greer Ingrid Monier Walters; her grandchildren: JaiPal Chauhan (Daiva), James Monier, Jr. (Tina), Holly Walters; her great grandchildren: Robert and Mardi Monier, Cassidy Walters; and many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond. Her niece, Sharon Achee Reid, was a particular source of love and care in Myrtle's later years. Myrtle moved to Abita Springs in November, 1938, when she married Bob. Although she died at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Abita Springs was always her home. Myrtle was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was past president of the Ladies Guild; charter member and past president of the Ladies Progressive Club of Abita Springs; charter member of the Abita Belles Red Hat Society and was Citizen of the Year of Abita Springs in 1997. She was a gregarious spirit who loved to sing and was happiest when entertaining others. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Abita Springs, 22139 Level St., Abita Springs, LA 70420. A wake is scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 6-9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours at the church in Abita will begin Thursday at 9:00 AM. Interment at the Abita Springs Cemetery will immediately follow services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Abita Springs at the above address. ===================
