Beloved husband of 52 years to Kay Cameron Kistler; loving father to John C. Kistler, Jr. (Cathy), Stephanie K. Kline (Keith) and Scott Kistler (Lisa); grandfather of John Cameron Kistler and Michael Scott Kistler, Jr.; and brother to Alan Kistler and Ronald Kistler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynnea B. Issacson Kistler; and his father, John C. Kistler. Age 83 years, a native of Laramie, WY and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past nine years. A United States Army Veteran, he served during World War II. A 1955 graduate of John Hopkins School of Medicine, he practiced Internal Medicine for some 55 years, having had his own practice and also with the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office. He was a member of Jefferson Parish Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, several Mardi Gras Carnival Associations, Hancock County Historical Society and St. Anselm Catholic Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to Celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary Street, Madisonville, LA 70447. Visitation on Tuesday AT THE CHURCH will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. Anselm Catholic Church, or St. Joseph Abbey, ===================
