Linda A. Frierson, age 63, of Picayune, Miss.,died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in 
Slidell. 

A native of Florence, S.C., she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist 
Church of Nicholson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Earnest Haithcock and Ruby 
Kennedy Snipes; one daughter, Lillian Ruffin; two sons, Eddie Knight and Carl 
McQueen; one brother, Charles Smith and one sister, Lillian Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Frierson of Picayune, Miss.; one daughter, 
Gwen (Bob) Dunhurst of Carriere, Miss.; three stepdaughters, Sonya (Scott) 
Wilkerson of Carriere, Kim (Kenneth) Lee of Caesar, Miss., and Tessa (Paul) 
Fortenberry of Carriere; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother 
James (Terri) Haithcock of Pearl River; and one daughter-in-law, Punkin Kennedy 
of Carriere.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial was in 
Turtleskin Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. The Rev. Billy 
Galloway and Dr. Danny Nance officiated at the service.
