DEEMES

Herman Roy Deemes Sr., born May 12, 1932, died Jan. 20, 2011, in Slidell.  

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, seven months and 14 days, Lillie Mae 
Deemes.  He is also survived by his sons, James Freeman Sr. and his wife, Debbie 
of West Monroe, Cornelius Roy Deemes and wife Tina of Pearl River, Philip Deemes 
of Jacksonville, Herman Roy Deemes Jr. and his wife Josie of Chalmette and Tony 
Deemes of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one 
sister, Sylvia Ray of Lacombe. 

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Kay Alsobrooks; a grandson, 
Aaron Alsobrooks; his parents, Herman and Maudie Deemes Sr., and two sisters.

Funeral services were held yesterday from the chapel of  D.T. Williams Funeral 
Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, with Bro. Billy Trusley officiating. Interment 
was in Charter Oak Cemetery, Pearl River
