Yvonne Loyd Dawsey passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011.

Beloved wife of Alfred "Harry" Dawsey for 55 years. Mother of Elwin Dewain 
Dawsey, Debbie Lynn Dawsey and James Alton "Jimmy" Dawsey (Sheila). Grandmother 
of Stephen Wesley Dawsey (Trisha), Stephanie Dawsey Jarrell (Ashton), David 
Kenneth Dawsey and Benjiman Aswell Dawsey. Great grandmother of Kirstin 
Alexandra Dawsey, Kenzie Logan Dawsey and Keegan David Dawsey. Daughter of the 
late Rufus and Edith Loyd. Sister of Houston, Sidney and Troy Loyd and the late 
Jack Loyd and Ollie Loyd Perry Galloway. Also survived by numerous nieces and 
nephews.

She retired after 25 years of service with Rutter Rex Garment Co. in 
Franklinton. Age 74 years. A native and lifelong resident of the Blond 
Community.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 
New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Rd., Covington, LA 70435 on 
Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 9:30 AM 
until service time.

Interment in New Zion Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to either the New Zion 
Lunch Ministry or Building Fund.
