The Bonnie Blue flag flies proudly at the 200 year old Hutchinson family homestead in St. Helena Parish. The flag is a representation of the Republic of West Florida, which was formed after settlers revolted from Spain in 1810.
Hutchinson family descendants gathered on April 11 to celebrate 200 years on the homestead located in St. Helena Parish. The guests were invited to dress in period costumes. Shown above is Hutchinson descendants Brian C. Freeman, Aimee Freeman, Ben Freeman and Josh Freeman.
The Hutchinson family celebrated 200 years on their homestead on April 11 with a family reunion. The home shown above was built by Henry Merritt Hutchinson 100 years ago and is the current residence of Edgar McNabb, a descendant of Hutchinson.
Lamar Hutchinson, a descendant of Peter Hutchinson, dressed for the time period, 200 years ago. Mr. Hutchinson participated in the April 11 reunion held each year on the original Hutchinson homestead.
