Samantha Ann Green was born ca. 1830-1831 in Sicily Island, LA and died 1911 in Franklin Parish, LA. Her parents are unknown. Samantha first married John D. Thomason September 18, 1851 in Franklin Parish. John and Samantha Thomason had one son, John Spencer "Bud" Thomason, Jr. John Thomason, Sr. was killed during the Civil War. Samantha Ann Green Thomason then married William Franklin Choat June 29, 1864 in Franklin Parish, LA. William and Samantha Choat had three children: Isaac Lewis "Ike", William Thomas, and Henrietta Ann T. "Annie" Choat. Samantha is buried in the Choat Cemetrey in the Mangham, Richland Parish area. Unfortunately, this cemetery has been lost and is now a field on a farm.
