CHARITY RUTH SMITH

Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA

Funeral services for Charity Ruth Smith, 82, of Monroe, LA will be held 2:00 
PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA 
with Rev. Robert Spicer officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Ridge 
Baptist Cemetery, Holly Ridge, LA.

Charity Smith was born October 20, 1926 in Dunn, LA and passed away Monday, 
April 13, 2009 in Shreveport, LA.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church. She is preceded in 
death by her husband, Tommie Sarye Smith and daughter, Linda Diane Hammon.

Survivors include her daughter, Grace Jeanette Lewis and husband, Jimmy of 
LaPlace, LA; 2 grandchildren, John William Lewis of LaPlace, LA and Beau 
Sylvester of Alexandria, LA; sister, Kitty Wiggins of Shreveport, LA; brother, 
Walter Collins of Monroe, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Jesse Wayne Nielsen, Gary Mathes, Jesse Mathes, Steven Mathes, 
Phil Phillips, and Jonathan Nielsen.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to the many caretakers that 
Mrs. Smith had at Christus St. Joseph Nursing Home especially Dale Evans.
