Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes E. Beard Brown Shandy, 94, of West Monroe, LA 
will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Church, 
West Monroe, LA. Rev. George Jacobs, Rev. Randy Brown and Rev. Michael Sims 
will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Shandy was born March 24, 1915 in West Monroe, LA and passed away April 9, 
2009 in West Monroe, LA.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church and was retired from a bag company as 
an assembly line worker.

Mrs. Shandy was preceded in death by her parents, C. R. and Sarah Beard, 
brothers, Oliver Smith, Alchyny Beard and Mack Beard; husband, Charles L. Brown 
and Bain Shandy.

Mrs. Shandy is survived by 3 children; Mittie Ellis, Joyce J. Austin and 
husband Don, Charles A. Brown and wife Janis; grandchildren; Danny Ellis, 
Jeffery Ellis, Stacie Albritton, Stephanie Ward, Russell Austin, Randy Brown, 
Michael Brown, Justin Brown and Kristian Odaware; 9 great-grandchildren and a 
special friend Mrs. Dora Sims.

Pallbearers will be Royce Beard, Michael Brown, Justin Brown, Randall Odaware, 
Danny Ellis and Jason Beard.

Honorary pallbearers Eddie Beard, Glen Beard and Earl Beard.
