Nancy was born in 1935 in Arcadia, LA and passed away April 11, 2009 in Ruston, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend. Nancy was the daughter of Millard and Lela Mae Cummings Durrett. She graduated from Arcadia High School, 1953, and Louisiana Tech University. In 1956, she married Ira John Hall, of Delhi, LA and they were married for 53 years. Nancy and John moved to Ramsey, NJ, where they lived for 37 years until returning home to Louisiana in 2007. Nancy was involved in real estate for many years and served as a Councilwoman and Member of the Zoning Board in Ramsey. She was active in P.E.O. and the First Presbyterian Church in Ramsey. Nancy continued the legacy of her father, Millard Durrett, as a tree farmer in Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and a favorite aunt, Lou Allie Cummings. She is survived by her husband, Ira John Hall; daughter, Rachel Kay May and husband Ernest III of Great Falls, VA; her son, Andrew Durrett Hall and wife Lori of Sacramento, CA; son, Timothy John Hall and wife Dawn of Monroe, LA; daughter Rebecca Lou Burton and husband Larry of Arlington, VA and grandchildren, Ernest Nugent May, IV, Kayla Culbertson May, Michael Pierre May, Gia Dora Hall, Jacob Ryan Hall, Katherine Lily Hall, Amanda Durrett Burton, and William Dean Burton; and her sister Mary Beth Cummings Lowery of Shreveport, LA. Memorials may be made in her name to the Methodist Children's Home, Ruston, LA. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
