He was struck by automobile 

Additional Comments:
He was struck by car while walking home from the store in LeCompte, Rapides 
Par., La. on Forest Hill Road which was about two miles. He lived 20 hours 
after being struck family said. His brother Raiford went looking for him one 
day and one or more other brothers and found him to be living alone with a 
long white beard. He and Elaine "Cassie" his wife had six known children, 
Lillie, Peter "Pete", Welch, John Milton "Charlie", Fanny Elizabeth "Dutch" 
and Lena. He was the sibling of, Marie Melinda died young about 1-3 years old, 
Raiford Cesaire, Edward Leomond died at 22/23 years old, John 
Avena/Abner "JAck", Albert Wilson,James "Jim", Milton and Peter Ballard 
ranging in residences from Iberville, Pointe Coupee to Rapides, La. Parishes.
