Christopher Scott Carnegie Funeral services for Christopher Scott Carnegie, 41, of Rayville, LA will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Rayville with Rev. Steve Ballard and Rev. Tommy Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, Holly Ridge under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville. Christopher was born November 5, 1971 in Natchez, MS and passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 in West Monroe. Christopher is preceded in death by his parents, Scottie and Yvonne Carnegie; sister, Courtney Brooke Carnegie; maternal grandparents, Mary and Thurman Westbrook; and paternal grandparents, Odessa and Eugene Carnegie. Survivors include the love of his life wife, Jimmie Lynn Carnegie of Rayville; children, Zachary Gene Carnegie, Mason Scott Carnegie, and Emma Grace Carnegie all of Rayville; half sister, Ashley Carnegie of Monterey, LA; mother-in-law, Emma Wood and husband, Chuck of Vicksburg, MS; father-in-law, David Massey and wife, Debbie of Rayville; sister-in-law, Sharon Rogers and husband, Bennett of Rayville; host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; his many friends and all of his special friends in the oil field. At his death, Chris was employed by H&P Drilling where he had worked for the last 10 years. Chris' proudest moments were the times spent with his three children and wife, Jimmie Lynn at his home on Davis Lake. He loved watching his children enjoy life and was always present at their games and other activities when he was home. Chris was a gentle spirit who had a deep love for his family who anxiously awaited his return from his job where he worked tirelessly and faithfully to care for his family and to also instill a strong work ethic for his children. Even though his trips home were brief he would still find time to help by contributing numerous hours to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a member. His friends will reflect on his jovial laugh and constant smile, especially when he was with his family. There will be an empty chair at our family gatherings that can never be filled. He will be sorely missed by numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, and aunts from his large family. Chris was always there to pitch in with any task the family needed and could be found regularly on networking sites where a kind comment was met with his testimony of his love for Christ. Chris came to Christ two years ago by the leadership of Bro. Harold Spillers and it was apparent in his daily life through the example he set for others. Those that knew Chris best could see the change that his new found love for Jesus Christ had made in his life. Through his testimony his children and wife were forever changed as they have all received Christ as their Saviour. Chris has most assuredly looked at the face of Jesus and heard "Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord." Chris will be remembered as a true family man, and a man of God who was a shining example of the true greatness of salvation. Pallbearers will be Mason Scott Carnegie, Nick Gibson, Todd Hough, Terry Gill, Jr., Chris Bass, Paul Allen, James Gill, and Jesse Jamison. Honorary pallbearers are the Men of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and Chris Cannon. Visitation is 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Condolences may be left at brownholleyfuneralhomes.com. David Patrick "Pat" Beach David Patrick "Pat" Beach died having coffee and trading one-liners with our Lord on October 29th, 2013. In truth, he passed away quietly and peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family. Those that knew him know that, although he was physically weak in the end, he lived a life with strength of character and integrity and helped many through dark and desperate times without want of fanfare or reciprocation. His happiest days were as a farmer in his birthplace, Franklin Parish; however, his most successful business endeavor was co-founding Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine with his daughter, Sarah Taylor, in whose capable hands the business will prosper. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior when he was eight years old and experienced an earthly life full of God's grace and mercy until called home. When his love and generosity exceeded the limits of his first heart, he was blessed by the gift of a new heart nearly a decade ago. His transplanted heart allowed him to share more fully in the lives of his wife of 36 years, Hortense "Tonsie" Moreau Beach, his children: William Jackson Cook III (partner Rob Morrison), Rachel Elizabeth Cook (husband Michael Millman), Sarah Beach Taylor, and David Moreau Beach (wife Emily), and his grandchildren: Jamie Hall Smith, Whitney Breigh Hall, Mary Ellis Beach, Howard Patrick Beach, Anna Britt Beach, and Kayla Morton Murray. He is survived by his brother, Don Beach (wife Fran) of Monroe, LA, his beloved Moreau family brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Letha Beach. He was a proud graduate of LSU and alumni of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street) on Friday, November 1, 2013 after 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Visitation on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 2025 Stuart Ave. with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM officiated by Father Donald Blanchard.
