William Oliver Moss (born April 01, 1860, died September 24, 1935) was son of James Lundy Moss (born March 12, 1834, died February 14, 1868) and Emma Margaret Sale (born June 10, 1831, died August 17, 1904).
James Moss was a resident of Bienville Parish, but moved with his family to Linden, Davis Co. Texas in 1866 due to his bad health caused by privation suffered in the Confederate Army (1st Sergeant, Co. A, 28th (Gray's) Louisiana Infantry). He died Feb. 14, 1868. Emma Margaret Sale Moss moved back to Haynesville where she taught school for a number of years.
