A native of Woodford County, she was employed at the R. L. Hobbs Co. for the past eight years. She is a member of the Glenn's Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Neal Florence McCreary, Frankfort; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Bartlett, Versailles; a son, Mrs. James B. Thurman, Woodford County; four step-daughters, Mrs. Lyle Finney, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Hazel Boyer, California, Mrs. Wilma True, South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Merle Goldey, Versailles; three step-sons, Charles Rice, South Ben, Ind., William L. Rice, Woodford County; Bobby Rice, Versailles; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Blythe, Frankfort, and Mrs. Carl Records, Lexington; a brother, H. B. [part missing] five great-grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren.
The body is at the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Turley, Winchester; Mrs. Virginia Whittaker, Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Ella Newberry, Granite City, Ill., and three sons, William A. and Lyman F. Dunn, Frankfort, and Wayne M. Dunn, Orlando, Fla.
The body will be brought to the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel Saturday night.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Mauer, Frankfort; three brothers, Carl Weber, Miami, Fla.; Herman Weber,Louisville and Paul A. Weber, Frankfort; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Walters and Mrs. Walter Childs, Frankfort and three grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Rogers Chapel by the Rev. Homer Brewer. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford county. Bearers will be John Tracey, James C. Quire, Walter Milton, John Singleton Jr., Ray Young and Douglas Quire.
Besides his niece, survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Karrick Cornish; a sister, Mrs. Martha Winkler, Lexington, and several nephews and other nieces.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Aaron Smith Funeral by the Rev. Sam Dennis. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery. Bearers will be R. H. Cornish, George Cornish Jr., Clarence Cornish, Richard Cornish, William Bryant and John Reed.
She was a native of Versailles and a member of the Versailles Methodist Church where she was active in the choir, and church youth organization. She was a junior at Woodford County High School where she was a member and past officer of the Spanish Club, Y-Teens, Prep Club and the Science Club.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Blackburn Jr., Versailles; a brother, Leslie J. (Buddy) Blackburn III, a student at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Francis Dixon, Bowling Green.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the Miller-Blackburn Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Gardner.
