Sam Judge

Sam Judge, 91, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, in a Lexington hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Nicholas County, a retired farmer and a member of the Moorefield Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William Burke, Fleming County, a brother, Everett Judge, Moorefield; a grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mathers-Shearer Chapel by the Rev. D. T. Brandenburg. Bearers were Hanson, Paul, Charles and Bobby Judge, Carl Hughes and Joe Delaney. Burial in the Carlisle Cemetery.

John Crawford

Services for John Crawford, 83, of Route 4, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.

He died 2:10 a.m. Monday at Scott General Hospital in Georgetown following a long illness.

A native of Franklin County, he was a retired farmed and attended Pleasant View Methodist Church. He was the son of the late John Crawford and Mary Kennedy Crawford.

Survivors include his wife, Obie R. Crawford, Frankfort; a son, Terry Crawford, Frankfort, and a brother, Carl Crawford, Frankfort.

Rev. Larry Redding will officiate at the services. Bearers will be Frank Montfort, Bill Rogers, Jimmy Stivers, Billy Ayers, Pat O'Connell and Ray Stivers.

Charles R. Spencer

Charles R. Spencer, 65, of 259 West Higgins Street, Midway, husband of Lida Spencer, died Tuesday, March, 14, at his residence.

He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Revival Tabernacle, Lexington. A native of Ashland, he was the son of the late James W. and Ella C. Spencer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Jackson, Lexington; four sons, Leslie V. Spencer, Midway; William H. Spencer, Versailles; Charles Byron Spencer, Albany, Ga., and Stacy R. Spencer, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Ann Carroll, Midway, and Freda Ledford, Stanton; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, at the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel, Versailles, by the Rev. Byron Jessup. Burial will be in the Midway Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Steven Spencer, Robert Spencer, Gregory Spencer, Timothy Walton, Donald Jackson, and Phillip McDaniel.

Harvey McFarland

Harvey McFarland, 80, died at 2:30, Saturday, Jan 10, in the Veterans Hospital, Lexington, after a three-months illness. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louie Hunt McFarland, three sisters, Mrs. Eddie Hughes, Mrs. Minnie Mitchell and Mrs. Annie Blake, Carlisle.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mathers-Shearer Chapel by the Rev. Wesley Garr. Burial in the Carlisle Cemetery. Bearers were Richard, Jimmy, George, Estill and Harvey Hunt and Julian Mitchell.
