Alton M. MooreA native of Franklin County, he was born Oct. 5, 1910, to Mrs. Ethel Hulette Moore and the late Daniel M. Moore. He was a retired farmer and breeder of thoroughbred horses. He served two terms as state representative from Franklin County and also served two terms as commissioner of pari-mutuels for the Kentucky State Racing Commission. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mable Anderson Moore, Frankfort; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Hulette Moore, Frankfort; one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Sue) O'Nan, Williamstown; one sister, Mrs. Irene Hulette, Frankfort, and five grandchildren. Honorary bearers will be Everett Moore, Irving Rosenstein, Louis Payne, Charles Morris, Frank McClure, Charles F. Smith, William Cook, Thomas F. Anderson, E. G. Hulette and John Sergeant. Bearers will be B. B. More, Robert Moore, Larry Moore, Hubert Moore, Bill Moore, Sr., and Crutcher Harrod.
Robert L. VaughanFor 50 years, he had been a mechanic and gargeman. He had owned and operated Vaughan's garage on West second Street since 1940, retiring Dec. 1. The body will be brought to Rogers Funeral Home. Services will be announced later.
