Henry T. Settle Sr.

Services for Henry T. Settle Sr., 71, of 162 Holmes Street, will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Good Shepherd with Father Carl Schaffer officiating. Burial will be in the Frankfort Cemetery.

He died 6:16 p.m. Monday in the King's Daughters Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

A native of Franklin County, he was born July 6, 1905, to the late Henry T. and Julia Wallace Settle. He was a 25 year employee of the J. W. Settle Feed Co., retiring in 1967, and was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Surviving are two sons, Henry T. Settle Jr., Frankfort, and Donald Settle, Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, Frankfort, and Miss Cynthia Settle, Frankfort, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Friends may call at Rogers after 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Miss Frances Roberts

Miss Frances Marie Roberts, 38, of Route 5, Devil's Hollow Road, died at the King's Daughters' Hospital at 11:40 a.m. Thursday following a long illness.

A native of Franklin County, she was born Jan 17, 1936, the daughter of Mrs. Mayme Robertson Roberts and the late Elbert Roberts. She was employed by the State Treasury Department as an accounting clerk and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Maymie Robertson Roberts, Frankfort; two sisters, Miss Lean Carroll Roberts and Mrs. J. C. Girkey, both of Frankfort, and two nephews, Mark and Brad Girkey, both of Frankfort.

Services will be conducted at Harrod Bros. Memorial Chapel at 2:30 by the Rev. J. Alvin Hardy, assisted by the Rev. Charles White. Burial will be in the family lot, Frankfort Cemetery.

Bearers will be Kenneth Roberts, Michael Rhorer, Everett "Buddy" Shelton, Clifford Toles, Walter Toles, Wilbur Toles.

Victor A. Serafini

Victor A. Serafini, 53, husband of Mattie Polin Serafini, of 220 Rolling Acres Drive, died at 1:30 a.m. today in the Medco Center following a long illness.

A native of Franklin County, he was born Aug. 16, 1920, the son of Celide Benassi Serafini and the late Victor Serafini. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Air Force, was co-owner of the Horn Drug Co. 17 years, was a member of the Church of Good Shepherd, the Holy Name Society, Elks Lodge No. 530 and was a graduate of St. Bernard Catholic High School, Cullman, Ala.

Survivors other than his wife and mother are six sons, Victor A. Serafini, Jr., Lexington, Joseph Dana, William Frederick, John Martin, David Polin and Eric Gerard, all of Frankfort; one daughter, Miss Mary Stephanie Serafini, Florence; five sisters, Sister Camille Serafini, Louisville; Mrs. Louis Leachman, Louisville, Mrs. Samuel Horn, Frankfort, Mrs. Edward P. Lynch, Frankfort, and Mrs. John A. Barnes, Forest Hill, Md., and five grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of the Good Shepherd by Father Carl Schaffer. Burial will be in the family lot, Frankfort Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Minnie Montgomery

Mrs. Minnie Downey Montgomery, 71, of 260 High Street, died at 7 a.m. Sunday after suffering an apparent heart attack.

She was the widow of Nathan Montgomery, a native of Woodford County, and a member of the Grier's Creek Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one brother, Johnnie Downey, Versailles.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Robert Smith. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery. Casket bearers were Glenn and Carl Birdwhistle, J. R. Cox, John Allen Perry, Kenneth Phillips and Ollie Bourne.

Mrs. Doris Dodson

Services for Mrs. Doris Wiley Dodson, 47, Lexington, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Lexington, with the Rev. L. Palmer Young officiating. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Dodson died Thursday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a long illness.

A Franklin County native, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ina Thompson Wiley, Lexington; a son, Samuel Bagley, Jr., Boliver Heights, Md.; two step-sons, George Dodson, Laurel, Md.; and Kirk Dodson, Key West, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Carl McChesney, Frankfort.

R. A. Corbin

Ralph Alonzo Corbin, 61, died at his home on Devil's Hollow Road Friday afternoon following a brief illness.

A native of Franklin County, he was born Feb. 9, 1911, the son of the late Mrs. Vivian Bradley Corbin and James Corbin. He was a farmer and retired employee of Union Underwear Co., a veteran of World War 2 and a member of the Choatville Christian Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Florida Heckier, Jefferson County, and Mrs. Lester Moore, Frankfort; four brothers, Edward Corbin, Vernon Corbin, both of Frankfort; James Lewis Corbin, Ft. Myers, Fla.; and Reuben Corbin, Indiana.

Services will be conducted at Harrod Bros. Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Thruman McClain, pastor of the Choateville Christian CHurch. Burial will be in the family lot, Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Bearers will be Sam Tracey, James Henderson, Walker Bradley, Frank Moore, Perry Corbin and Albert Smith.
