Pine Grove Cemetery

(aka Cottrell Grave Yard)

Location: From Cub Run, go West on Hwy. 88 for 3.4 miles and turn left onto 1368, Pine Grove Church Road. The church and cemetery are at the end of Pine Grove Church Road, which is 1.2 miles from Hwy. 88. The church is on the land settled by Henry Cottrell about 1805. Family tradition states the first burial here was an elderly lady who came here with the Cottrells from Chester County, South Carolina. In the 1920s, the Pine Grove Baptist Church was built adjacent to the cemetery.

The cemetery listing and these photos were provided by Edith Bastin   .
