Mt. Carmel Church is located on Mt. Carmel Church Rd , approximately one and a half miles from SR 733 (Wilson Creek Road) in Southeast Bullitt County. It is near the Nelson County border. Neighboring communities are Lebanon Junction, Boston, and Belmont.

Mt. Carmel Church is a Baptist Church, established in 1871, and rebuilt in 1975. It has an old cemetery in the rear of the church, bordered by a beautiful forest. The cemetery is still used today.
