In July, 2008, a group of transcribers volunteered to transcribe, research out, and make available death certificates of individuals who had their deaths listed as being in Breckinridge County. It, in no way, will cover all those who are buried within the county's many cemeteries, but will eventually (where available and only for Breck. Co.) link up to the cemeteries where many individuals are buried with or without a marker on their grave.

Many thanks to Bob McManaway, Carolin Pettit, Donde Smith, Doug McCamish, "God's Little Angel", Jen Ritchie, Heather Nichols, Joseph Smith, Judy Hartsock, Nancy Bender, Nancy Guziec, Paul Sabol, Peggy Russell, Sherry Hall-Bradley, Shirley Miller, and Tina Zabel. Without their help, the "Death Certificate Project" would never have been possible.

Early Breckinridge County
Death Listings

nor all doctors kept a ledger of their patients. They were not required by the state of
Kentucky to keep a listing of those they tended to.)
