12:07:50 1996 I am seeking information regarding my Gr.Grandfather Robert D. Baker possibly born in Vigo County, Terre Haute, IN. in July 1866. He was married to Nobie Coats Baker in Newnan, Coweta Co. Georgia around 1915- 1916. He also had a brother who lived on Long Island, N.Y. and he died the early part of the 1940's. He had a sister named Sara Jane. That is about the extent of the information I have. He was reportedly from rather wealthy family who gave him a yearly $$$ allowance and he spent his before the years end. His family decided to set up a trust fund for his future children. It was reported to me by my mother, Zelma Louise Baker Buice deceased in 1984, he ran away from home and ended up in Newnan Georgia where he married by grandmother Nobie Coats Baker. Before he died, he always stated to my mother she would inherit his money that was put in a trust fund since she was his only child. Any information would be greatly appreciated. This has always been a great mystery to my family and we would like to know anything regarding Robert D. Baker. Thank you, Janice B. Wright |
