Queries Submitted Prior to January, 1997

I am looking for any and all information regardin my THURMAN ancestors in/from Indiana. Most would be from the Vigo/Vermillion county area. I am most interested in information regarding Cyrus Thruman who would have lived in Vigo Co, in the early part of this century. He had a wife Josephine (CHRISTOPHER) who had a brother in the Danville area. Cyrus and Josephine had three sons -- Banks; Kenneth and Lester. When Josephine and Cyrus broke up, she and the boys moved to California. Cyrus stayed behind and reportedly died in a mining accident in Kentucky some time shortly thereafter. Seeking information on Peter SWITZER or SWISHER who resided in Vermillion Co. 1834-44. His wife was Mary Ann HOOVER and she died there 1848. Their son John had a farm in Vermillion Co. on which is supposedly a cemetary where Peter and Mary Ann are buried.
